The Nikon DR-5 angle viewfinder

This is the kit we are talking about. It consists of the viewfinder itself, a circular adapter, a kind of "screwdriver" to remove the adapter if it is stuck on the camera, and a pouch.

My general comments about angle viewfinders can be found here.

This is the specific version for professional cameras with a "circular" viewfinder. Instead of clicking it in you have to screw it in.
See the procedure hereunder.

First you have to darken the viewfinder (use the small button on the top)

Then remove the eyepiece.

Put the circular adapter in place (screw in)

Install the viewfinder - you're all set

There is one small problem with this version: it is pretty difficult to position it securely so that you can rotate it and put it in position every 90 grades. This is very easy with the "lower end" version, the DR-6. A bit strange, since this one (DR-5) is meant for very expensive professional cameras.

Just for the sake of comparison, this is how the DR-6 kit looks like.
