Night photography

I like walking around in cities at night. To be able to take good pictures, you'll typically need quite some light, so that the logical targets are cities where there is a lot of activity or interesting historical buildings, usually well lit. I follow two strategies: just walking around with wide reasonably fast lenses (10.5 2.8 fisheye or 12-24 f4 wide angle zoom), or select specific places I want to get on the pictures and go for the full configuration, including longer lenses (up to 200mm) and a tripod. This allows much better pictures, low ISO/long pause but needs a bit more preparation.

I applied the first strategy (just walking around)  in Bruges, a small medieval city in Belgium and the second (tripod and the full bag) in Brussels, capital of Belgium and Europe.
