Senegal - Fishing
These are a few pics I want to share
about the fishing "industry" in a small village close to the city of
Dakar in Senegal. First of all, the population there is incredibly poor
to our occidental norms. Fishing is one of the activities bringing some
money to the local population. People working there get approximately 1
(one) dollar per day or more depending on their job. Working conditions
are terrible, you see dead animals everywhere, dust, garbage, living
conditions are just incredible. Photographers are not really
appreciated and luckily I had a local guide with me who could explain
that I just wanted to bring back a few pictures. Finally most people
accepted it.
From a technical point of view, all shots Nikon D200+18-200VR lens.
