With the advent of digital camera's, many people could consider this gadget useless. But for those who still use film cameras (or are sorting huge piles of slides they have shot in the past), this is a very interesting tool. A compact portable light table to check your slides or negatives. I am still shooting slides and this is part of my standard workflow to select pictures before scanning with the Nikon Coolscan V scanner. The scanning process being relatively long (one minute per picture), it is important you preselect the pictures worth scanning.
