The Nikon angle viewfinder
This small accessory is
really being underestimated. I bought it by pure luck because the
dealer I was visiting just had one. Since then, I became addicted to it
when I use a tripod, do macro work, or sometimes work with MF lenses.
It
gives you much more freedom to look in your viewfinder and it has an
extra added value with a x2 magnifier, very useful when focusing
manually, it really makes your life easier.
Another interesting application is for portrait, street photography, landscape... it basically gives you a new
angle to take pictures (you can put the camera close to the ground and still compose in a resonably confortable way.
You cannot really call it a cheap accessory, but to me it was worth the
money.
It is being delivered with a small bag, very
nice to carry around in your bag.
The
one for cameras like the D200 is called the DR-6. Check to find the
right one for your camera, it depends on the kind of attachment you
have for the viewfinder (D2-something cameras like the D2X have round
adapters and need another angle viewfinder for instance)
