There are lots of interesting magazines available in different languages. Here are a few that I recommend.
Don't forget most magazines publish more or less the same
things: new product announcement and reviews, mainly based on the information
they all get from the manufacturers. Next to that, they publish a lot of
interesting articles about all kinds of subjects (lighting, macro, landscape,
whatever...) and there is a kind of cycle. The number of really different
subjects is limited, this means that after a period of one to two years,
articles are being (at least partially) recycled.
They are a very good way to learn a lot about the basic techniques and also to
see a lot of real life examples. I got my experience as a amateur photographer
(or semi-pro) by participating to forums and reading magazines next to just
taking pictures (making mistakes and learning from them is still the best way to
learn).
